Certificates Expiring
Posted by Will Kruss on 27 May 2016 07:39 PM

cPanel/WHM creates a renewable certificate at end of year. WHM send email if certificate is expiring, learn step by step.

cPanel/WHM creates self-signed certificates for accessing services like SMTP, POP3, IMAP, FTP, cPanel and WHM. These certificates have a 1 year expiry and need to be recreated at the end of each year.

WHM will generally send you an email advising if a certificate is expiring. To recreate it all you need to do is:

Login to WHM
Go to Service Configuration >> Manage Service SSL Certificates
Click on 'Reset Certificate' next to the ones that are listed as expiring (usually all of them will expire at the same time).
